Annual Survivors Day

Survivors of Suicide Loss Day (ISOSD) was established by the United States Congress in 1999 through a resolution introduced by Senator Harry Reid, who lost a loved one to suicide. It has since gone global. The goal is to promote awareness, healing and support while combating the stigma that families and friends can face after a death by suicide. It is a day when no survivor has to grieve alone.

ISOSD always falls on the Saturday before the Thanksgiving holiday. This year, it is Saturday, November 19, 2016. Many communities around the world will hold conferences or organize other activities for this day. Here is our list of Michigan cities that will have events.
